As Instagram continues to take over our lives in all forms, it’s no wonder a very visually stimulating soiree of sorts was the talk of the town in New York City this past weekend. For four days, Refinery 29 hosted 29 Rooms, taking over a warehouse in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Every summer, the Upper East Side blocks off 5th Avenue from vehicles and opens the doors to several of the neighborhood’s museums (think The MET, Guggenheim, Cooper Hewitt, etc) for a free night of fun, new friends and awesome exhibits.

“Netflix and Chill” – It’s a common meme being displayed across the internet highlighting the laid back activities Americans engage in on their “down time”. And well, now that the chilly weather has arrived, it sounds like I’ll be partaking in some of this Netflix and Chill as well… at least partially (We all know I can’t sit still for too long, especially when NYC is my playground).
On a nippy night just a few days ago, I decided to put on some sweats, open up my laptop and click on the “Flix”. I was initially going to catch up on my favorite (and only tv I watch) show, Scandal, but when I saw “Iris” pop up on the screen with an image of Iris Apfel, a legendary fashionista in the New York community and beyond, I quickly changed my tune.
