ev1Every year, 5,000 New Yorkers gather in various meeting locations throughout the Big Apple anxiously awaiting the reveal of a secret location for the fanciest picnic of all – Diner En Blanc.

If you read my post last year, you know all about this seriously swanky event. But if you didn’t, just imagine 5,000 strangers gathered under the moonlight, for an all-white epic DIY picnic. Spring Trends – A Daring Move with a New ‘Do

Living in the fashion capital of the world, I am constantly surrounded by the latest in fashion and beauty and although my style is typically classic, I’m constantly tempted to try something new.

After perusing many magazines, border line stalking girls on the street whose look I loved, and going through a pretty serious game of tug of war in my mind, I finally decide to give in and let go of my long locks. The Panda Princess Heads to the Panda Ball – A Black & White Night at the Waldorf Astoria

It was pure “pandamonium” last night at New York City’s iconic landmark hotel, the Waldorf Astoria , for the first annual Black & White Panda Ball hosted by Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney.

Le Diner En Blanc – A Secret Picnic with 5,000 of Your Closest New Yorkers

img_6318What do you get when you invite 5,000 New Yorkers to a fancy picnic at a secret location? Le Diner En Blanc, of course. What started as a small idea, has grown into a world wide phenomenon with waiting lists as long as the circumference of the equator!

In 1988, after being abroad for part of the summer, Francois Pasquier had the grand idea to invite a small group of friends to a fancy fete like they’d never experienced.  He instructed each of them to wear white so they’d be able to find each other in the Parc de Bagatelle in Paris and the first official Dîner en Blanc was born. They loved the idea so much, the following year they decided each person would invite other friends and 25 years later, the event has grown into the global glam picnic it has become, with thousands of people attending, and that many more on a wait list, hoping for their chance at this one-of-a-kind celebration.  Continue reading “Le Diner En Blanc – A Secret Picnic with 5,000 of Your Closest New Yorkers”
