A Weekend of Indulgence

I knew there was a reason why I moved to this city…because there are an endless array of options to explore regardless of what your interests are, and this weekend was no different.

IIMG_8879 kicked it off on Friday night with a little jazz sesh and a glass of champagne at the famed Bemelman’s Bar at the Carlyle Hotel on the Upper East Side (yes, the place the Royals stayed when they were in town). This quaint little spot is named after the beloved author of Madeline children’s books, Ludwig Bemelman (also a long time illustrator for The New Yorker, Vogue and Town and Country). With chocolate tufted benches lining the perimeters of the room and walls  adorned with a Central Park themed illustration of rabbits and elephants, this classic New York staple is sure to transcend any of its patrons to a time of pure elegance and grace. The City That Never Sleeps

New York City is one of the only cities I’ve been to where every minute of every day there’s an event going on in every part of the city – and that’s exactly what last night turned out like.

IMG_8621After reading the Czardom board on FB (a chat room of sorts for people in PR/Media to share events/ideas/etc), I learned about a cool event hosting the CEO of Poshmark at one of my favorite spots in the city, Yoshi’s Living Room and Penthouse at the Flatiron Hotel.
